Nolan Confirms Inception Game

Check it check it...Chris Nolan, the man behind Inception and the most recent Batman movies just confirmed that a game will be developed based on his summer hit Inception. I found that movie to be genius and I'm truly looking forward to the game. Although the development of the game is not currently on Nolan's plate, it will be as soon as he finishes with 'The Dark Knight Rises', the third and final part in his Batman trilogy, sometime in the summer of 2012. Lets hope we don't have to wait too long for the game to come out.

Movie Mania - Nolan confirms Batman 3

This is awesome news for all you Batman fans, Christopher Nolan sat down with the LA Times and revealed the name of his newest Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. He said there will be no Riddler or Mr. Freeze. Also, the movie will not be shot in 3D, but rather in IMAX.

Looking forward to this, its supposed to be released sometime in the summer of 2012 (before the world ends, yesss).

Food Food Food - Eggs Benedict

Eggs Benedict - simplyrecipes.com
Aright so this dish is a little complex, but i'm telling you it is worth every ounce of energy that you put into it. You always hear of Eggs Benedict in television and movies, but I never ever happened to see that dish in real life, not even on a menu.

Anyways, one day I decided to make Eggs Benedict because I had nothing better to do. Went online, found this recipe, checked to see I had everything in the kitchen and then began to get to work.

I must tell you I was a little flustered trying to get the english muffins to toast properly, the bacon to cook perfectly, and the eggs to poach precisely. I even had a cup of India tea being brewed on one stove. It was a hectic morning but the end result was just to die for. Hot buttered toasted english muffins, crispy bacon, the perfect poached egg, and a lovely drizzle of Hollandaise...you can't go wrong with this. Perfect for a surprise breakfast in bed, whatever the occasion.

Tech Check - Want to Up Those Math SAT Scores? Try Electricity

How many of us need help with math? You either get it or you don't. There is no half and half.

Researchers at Oxford University gave participants a one milliamp electrical stimulus across the parietal lobe for 20 minuts each day. It feels nothing more than a tingle, but participants found their performance level had significantly improved in a battery of tests. After 6 months, the brain boost still held.

That's pretty amazing if you ask me. I don't mind having my parietal lobe zapped for 20 minutes a day if it'll make me smarter. Hope it comes to a Best Buy nearby...

Sports - Kobe says he'll play for U.S. in 2012 if wanted

Kobe Bryant, aka The Black Mamba, was speaking with Coach K on his Sirius satellite radio show on tuesday when he was asked about the Olympics in London 2012. Kobe had this to say:

"You guys want me there, I am there and I'm ready to defend," Bryant said. "And then when you guys need me to put some points on the board, I'll do that, too."

As we all know, It was Coach K who told Kobe during the Gold medal game against Spain in Beijing 2008 to release the 'Black Mamba' and that is exactly what Kobe did. With a little over 8 minutes remaining, Kobe finally unleashed the killer instincts within and helped the United States secure Gold. His four-point play really shut the crowd up.

Im glad Kobe will reprise his role in London 2012. We need his veteran presence to guide the young asses such as LeBron, D-Wade and Carmelo. We also need his defensive tenacity to help lock down our opponents.

Food Food Food - Rib-Eye Steak with Blue Cheese Butter and Walla Walla Onion Rings

Rib-Eye Steak with Blue Cheese Butter - epicurious.com
Hot Damn!! That looks just too good. I mean my mouth was watering just from looking at it. I just had to make it. Except the 'Walla Walla' onion rings. I've tried making onion rings before and let me tell you, I made a mess. This time I just bought a pack of frozen onion rings from the market and fried them on the side.

The beautifully cooked Rib-Eye just melts evenly in your mouth, along with the Blue Cheese Butter. I like my steak cooked medium. The onion rings give it that lovely crunch as well as add contrast to the dish. The Blue Cheese Butter just brings the whole dish together. Don't forget your favorite steak sauce.

Tech Check - MIT student creates mirror that monitors your vital signs

This PhD candidate at MIT seems to have invented a way to monitor our vitals, such as respiration, heart rate, and blood pressure all through a wireless camera placed discreetly behind a two-way mirror. This way, when you look in the mirror, you can see your vital signs as well.

This is very neat. Check out the video

Tech Check - Create Holograms Using This $1 iPad App and a DSLR

Wow this is pretty neat. Using an iPad and a DSLR camera, you can create holograms. Right now its only words but soon you will be able to make objects as well. The $1 App is required, but from the looks of it, i'd be willing to purchase it. I personally do not have a DSLR camera or an iPad for that matter so I cant try it, but I will keep this in mind for the foreseeable future.

Ever wanted to spend a few nights in a castle? Ladies, I know thats a fantasy you all dream of. Your fantasies can now come true. You can spend a few nights in an old school palace such as the Amberley Castle, which is located in England and was at one pint owned by Queen Elizabeth I.

Or you can get a romantic white marble palace floating on water, The Taj Lake Palace floating on India's Lake Pichola. Its guests include Queen Elizabeth II as well as the Shah of Iran.

How about the Kasbah du Toubkal located in the Atlas Mountains of Malaysia? The only way to arrive at the hotel is either on foot or on the back of a mule.

The Chateau de la Bourdaisiere, located in France is the ideal fairytale castle. It was constructed in the 15th century for the royal mistress of King Francois I. It is currently owned and operated by a real life Prince. Activities include Hot air ballooning as well as roaming the many vineyards.

Movie Mania - Emma Stone Officially Cast as ... Gwen Stacy

Emma Stone
Emma Stone, the cute red head from 'Superbad' was just cast as Gwen Stacy in the new 'Spiderman' Reboot. The movie which is being directed by Marc Webb will be released in the summer of 2012 in 3D. Spiderman will be played by Andrew Garfield who can currently be seen in 'The Social Network'.

Emma Stone I believe will make a much better Gwen Stacy than Bryce Dallas Howard in 'Spiderman 3'. So far only the roles of Spiderman and Gwen Stacy have been selected for the reboot.

Emma Stone is currently playing in 'Easy A', and previously starred in 'The House Bunny' and 'Zombieland'.

Who do you think should play the part of Mary Jane-Watson?? Is there even going to be a Mary Jane-Watson in the movie??

Which villain do you want to see Spiderman fight? Do you want to see Venom (I don't believe justice was done to the character in 'Spiderman 3') make an appearance?

Food Food Food - Chicken with Asparagus Stir Fry

Chicken with Asparagus Stir Fry - delish.com
This recipe I found on delish.com. It is a simple, vibrant, quick and tasty dish.

Asparagus can be costly at times but it usually gets cheaper near the end of the summer. Asparagus cooked and seasoned perfectly is a very tasty side and goes well with many types of proteins. You want to make sure to cook the asparagus for no more than a total of 7 min otherwise it will overcook.

In this dish, don't forget the lime because the acid from the lime makes a big difference. Although the dish says it serves 4, my younger brother and I killed it. If you are hungry then trust me, you are going to want to make a little extra, it will be worth it. Its also a very good dish to take to the office for lunch the next day, just place it in a microwave safe dish and refrigerate. Heat the dish up the next day in a microwave at work, the smell will make your co-workers jealous.

The recipe looks too plain and thats why I added oyster sauce and soy sauce to the hot skillet with the chicken (3 parts oyster to 1 part soy). Also take some water in a cup and mix with corn starch, depending on how much gravy you want, and mix it into the chicken when the chicken is nearly cooked.

Serve with white rice or noodles. I didn't have egg noodles so I used regular pasta noodles, I just added a larger amount of water-cornstarch mix to the chicken in order to create more gravy for the noodles. It still tasted great and now I have a thing for asparagus.

Movie Mania - Zack Snyder Set to Direct New "Superman" Film

After Bryan Singer ruined Superman Returns, Yes, he ruined it, Warner Bros. now has to reboot the franchise. The new Superman film, slated for a 2012 release is being executively produced by Chris Nolan, the man who brought us Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The story is being written by David Goyer, who worked on The Dark Knight as well as the short lived TV series FlashForward, which was interesting at times.

Having a track record like Chris Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and most recently Inception), you know the "Superman" franchise is in good hands.

Recently, Nolan picked Zack Snyder to Direct the new Superman film. Snyder directed the hit '300' which I enjoyed thoroughly as well as 'Watchmen', a movie I did not quite understand and found boring.

The cast has not been picked and no one knows who the villain is. Updates will follow as more info is available.

Who do you think the villain(s) should be??
Is it possible for 'Superman' to have a child a la 'Superman Returns'??

Tech Check - Apple iPod Touch 4

iPod Touch 4
I bought the original iPod Touch when it first came out in 2006 and have been using it ever since. I never got the urge to upgrade until now. The new iPod Touch 4 is just amazing, from the bright and vivid retina display to the HD video recording to the front facing camera with facetime; every new feature turns me on (figuratively speaking, of course).

The beauty of the iPod Touch is that you do not need to sign a contract with AT&T or any other phone company for that matter. It comes with built in Wi-Fi, and because today Wi-Fi is available all over campus plus at home, I am connected at all time (almost).

After seeing the new iPod Touch, I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Pricing is as follows: 8GB for $229, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for $399. I love how Apple sets their storage and pricing (pure sarcasm). Looking forward to picking one up soon, hopefully sometime before the holiday season.

Anybody bought the new iPod Touch 4?? Shoot out in the comments below and let us know, is it worth all the buzz??

BioTech - Patients to be frozen into state of suspended animation for surgery

I never though I would ever read something like this in my lifetime. This has to be one of the most interesting articles I have come upon recently.

Researchers have basically discovered a way to freeze your body into suspended animation (a word found only in comic books), not indefinitely, but long enough to give us a couple of extra hours under the knife which could mean the difference between life and death. The doctors put your body on a heart/lung bypass meaning the blood in your body does not go through your heart and lungs but rather through a machine, and instead a cold saline solution is passed through your body, rapidly cooling your body temperature.

The average human body temperature is 37 degrees C. During this procedure, the human body hits temperatures as low as 10 degrees C. By rapidly cooling the cells, they remain intact and do not get damaged, even the brain cells. During the surgery, you have no heart beat, pulse, or brain waves. You are basically dead frozen.

After the surgery, the body is slowly re-heated and then resuscitated. You then come back to life.

Somebody tell me this is not interesting.

Sports - New England Patriots trade Randy Moss to Minnesota Vikings

Randy Moss
So i'm a big Brett Favre fan and was happy that he left the Green Bay Packers and went to the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers gave up on him too soon. Now Favre is with the Vikings, undoubtedly his biggest rivals from his days in Green Bay. Back when Favre was with the Packers, he wanted them to sign Randy Moss. Now due to Sydney Rice being injured and Percy Harvin suffering from migraines, the Vikings pulled off the first blockbuster trade of the 2010-2011 NFL season and acquired Moss from the Patriots who were unwilling to give him a contract extension. I never saw this coming, although I have to say i'm not complaining. Glad it worked out for the both of um.

Travel - The World's Most Remote Hotels

The Beach House at Manafaru - Maldives
This has to be the best way to literally get away from civilization. I mean who would not want to go spend sometime all alone with their significant other at The Beach House in the Maldives?? Or 70 ft underground in a cave in New Mexico? These hotels are completely isolated to keep us away from the chaos of society. If you really want to get away, then these are the places you want to go...

The most isolated place i've been to is Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. It is located in northern Alaska, next to the arctic ocean and in the Arctic circle. We visited there as a family in the summer of 2003. They say the sun does not set in the Arctic for long periods of time followed by long periods of dark (6 months). My dad was very intrigued by the idea and thats how the trip got started.

We were told not to leave any food in the car because of fear of bears and wolves. I was only 15 so I found that pretty intimidating, but thoroughly satisfying.

Anybody been anywhere isolated from everyday society?? Click the link above to check out some other isolated hotels, and then shoot out in the comments section...

Tech Check - Two Pane Fujitsu Phone

So I was reading on CNET and I came across this post about a two-pane phone. It basically has two screens that can be interchanged, either attaching horizontally or vertically, pretty cool if you ask me. The corresponding video is in Japanese if i'm not mistaken (Fujitsu is a Japanese company), so you can't really understand anything, but you do get a look at how the phone moves as well as some of its features

Food Food Food - Ginger Beef Stir Fry

Ginger Beef Stir Fry - simplyrecipes.com
Aright, so this going being my first post ever and i'm going to make it about food. Yup, Ginger Beef Stir Fry, you have made me a very happy man.

I love to cook but in between school and work, I don't have much time to cook. I'm always looking for quick dinner fixes. TV dinners lack in salt and portion size, homemade dinners taste so much better and they end up costing a lot cheaper, especially if you have an appetite like my brother and I.

Anyways, so I was looking for a quick stir fry recipe and I came across this. I had everything required to make it except the meat which I picked up on the way back from school. The recipe tells you to cut the fresh ginger into matchstick shapes and fry them in the oil along with red chillies and that ginger flavor just gets soaked up in the oil and passes along throughout the whole dish. You can clearly see its a beef stir fry dish; and then you can taste the ginger, not too overpowering but a perfect blend with the beef and vegetables.

I made it using a only 1 lb of beef, and my brother and I killed it. Although our stomachs were satisfied, our taste buds weren't. Served it with 1-1/4 cups of white rice (uncooked). Also, I did not cook the beef in batches, I just threw it all in the wok in one big batch.

Click the link and enjoy, you cannot go wrong with this dish.
